Ulla Anttila appointed Executive Director of KIOS

Dr. Ulla Anttila has been appointed Executive Director of the Finnish NGO Foundation for Human Rights KIOS. She has been acting Executive Director of KIOS since September 2011.

Ulla Anttila holds a Master in Social Sciences and a Ph.D. (Military Sciences). Her Ph.D. thesis, published in 2012, focused on human security, crisis management and learning. From 1991 to 2007 Ulla Anttila was a Member of Parliament in Finland, where she among other duties served as a member of the Foreign Affairs Committee and as Chairperson of the Parliamentary Human Rights Group.
